Roger Alan Weaver, age 79 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 9:00 AM Wednesday October 16, 2024 at the Versailles Health Care Center Versailles, Ohio. Roger was born March 7, 1945 in Greenville, Ohio and the son of the late O. Henry “Pete” and Onetta (Wright) Weaver.
He retired in 2006 from Fram Corporation following 40 years of employment. He was a member of the Greenville American Legion and a Lifetime member of the Greenville Eagles Lodge. Roger loved traveling and taking short train rides. He enjoyed riding his Gold Wing motorcycle, working in his yard and collecting Coca-Cola products. He was also very fond of his house cats.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joan Kay (Hamilton) Weaver May 31, 2015. They were married December 21, 1962. Other family members deceased are son Rodney Weaver; Sisters Kathy Hamilton, Ruth Ellen Weaver and Betty Larsh and Brother Roy Weaver.
Roger is survived by his children Teresa (Berhane) Belew of Greenville, Ted (Angela) Weaver of Versailles and Kay Goubeaux of Greenville; grandchildren Stephanie (Tim) Fourman, Daniel Belew, Teresa Joann (Christian Andrew) Idle, Benjamin Weaver, Thomas Weaver and Thimothy Weaver; great grandchildren Caleb Kolb, Ryan Kolb, Asher Fourman, Aliyah Lynn Idle and Ameliya Kay Idle; brothers Richard Weaver, Kent Weaver, Wayne Weaver and Donnie Weaver as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday October 23, 2024 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Wednesday 1 hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
