Roger Lee Sanders, age 87, of Springboro, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio.
He was born on March 13, 1934, in Ansonia, Ohio, to the late Norman and Irene (Snyder) Sanders.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his first wife, Annette Sanders; his brothers, Robert Sanders and Wayne Sanders; and his sister, Marilyn Burkhardt.
Roger was a 1953 of Ansonia High School. After high school, Roger attended the Ohio State University for two years and then served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Later, he finished his education at Kent State University. He worked for Roadway Trucking for over 30 years, retiring as Operational Manager. Roger was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Greenville, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Nowlin-Jones) Sanders; his son Michael (Sheila) Sanders; his grandchildren, Alicia Sanders, Megan (Anthony) Luzader, April Sanders and Mitchell Sanders; his step-sons, William E. (Rhonda) Jones and Matt (Linda) Jones; and many special step-grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Roger’s life will be held at 2 PM, on Friday, January 28, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Church, 7418 OH-121, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery.
Roger’s family will receive guests on Friday, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church.
