Ronald L. Baltes age 74, of Greenville passed away at 6:30 AM on Monday, June 7, 2021, in the Hospice Care Center at the Dayton VA medical Center.
Ronald was born August 17, 1946, in Darke County to the late Paul N. & Esther M. (Mangen) Baltes. In addition to his parents, Ronald was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul N. Baltes, Jr.; an infant sister, Mary Lou Baltes; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Baltes.
Ronald is survived by his siblings, Irvin & Kathy Baltes of Piqua, Ivan Baltes of Greenville, Annette (Hope) & Louie Hylton of Piqua, Carl Baltes of St. Henry, Tom & Deb Baltes of Marietta, Georgia, and Diane (Baltes) & Terry Sellers of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ronald served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a plumbing Contractor for 20 years and worked at Minster Machine for 5 years. He was a member of the Greenville V.F.W. and Moose.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 14, 2021, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons officiating. Burial will follow in Brock Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Versailles Veteran’s Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Versailles Veteran’s Honor Guard in Ronald’s memory.
