Ruth Evelyn Avery age 70, of Greenville passed away at 9:36 pm Monday, December 9, 2024, at EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Ruth was born October 21, 1954, in Union City, Ohio, to the late Robert D. & Lois Maxine (Hoover) Newbauer. Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband, John Alfred Avery; brothers, Donald, Merle, Charlie and John Newbauer; and sister, Roberta Newbauer.
Ruth is survived by a sister, Lynn Newbauer; lifelong family friend, Stanley Cox; friends, Rocky & Babbi Ward and Dawn Briner; pet for life, Lion; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a life member of Greenville V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary 7262 and a member of the Greenville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 140. Ruth was an avid bowler.
