Sally Yvonne Higgins, age 72 of Arcanum, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 2:24 AM at Hospice of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio. Born in Greenville, Michigan on March 14, 1952 she was a daughter to the late Orville & Donna (Hubbard) Kent. Sally was a member of the Doll Club as well as the Moose Lodge in Greenville. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She was an avid Christmas lover, and had Christmas year round. She and her late husband, Grover, would dress up as Mr. and Mrs. Clause and hand out toys throughout different organizations, and their grandchildren dressed up as the elves. She was her “own spirit” and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her son William Higgins: step-son Mike Higgins: great-grandson Grayson Durham.
Survived by her daughter Karlie Geesy: step-son Allan Higgins: brothers Dale & Sharon Kent; Clark & Cathy Kent: sister Deanna Whitehead: grandchildren Leigha & Blade Durham; Alexander Geesy; Ashton (Darian) Franks; Sarah Geesy; Katelynn Geesy; Josie & Seth Trissel: great-grandchildren Nevayah; Emily; Matilda; Sasha; Gunner; Whyatt; Karlie; Bryan; Ember: as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Friends may call on the family from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM on Friday, April 12, 2024 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM with Pastor Todd Reish presiding. Burial to follow at Abbottsville Cemetery, Abbottsville, Ohio.
