Sandy (Litten) Gunckel, 77, of Greenville, Ohio, formerly of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away to join her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Wayne Healthcare, after a brief illness.
She was born on August 7, 1944, in Flushing, Ohio, to the late Carl and Mary Elizabeth (Clements) Litten.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis Nichols, and Vivian Skeen; and her brothers, Kenneth, John, and Arthur Litten.
Sandy had many admirable attributes; faithfulness, devotion, and loyalty. She was faithful to her husband and to her Lord. She was devoted to her family, and she was loyal to her friends and community. She was an active member of the Greenville First Assembly of God. She adored her family and spoiled her grandchildren. She was a mother and grandmother to many, and will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry Gunckel, whom she married on October 16, 1964; her two sons, Deron (Gwen) Gunckel and Tim (Leslie) Gunckel;her four grandchildren, Kyli (Hazen) Ripple, Cody Gunckel, Caitlynn (Gideon)Winter and Makenna Gunckel; her two great grandchildren, Bella and Grayson Ripple; her four brothers, Robert David (Beryl) Litten, Larry (Leona) Litten, Gerald (Gerry) Litten and Carl Steven Litten; her sister, Kathleen Mellott; her sisters-in-law, Alma Litten, and Goldie Gunckel; her brother-in law, Tim (Kay) Means; along with several nieces and nephews.
The private family funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.
