Bus Drivers needed! Route drivers, extra-curricular (field trips, sporting events, band trips) and Substitute Drivers.
Substitute bus drivers are a necessity with 19 buses on the road each day. No CDL experience is required as drivers will be trained by the district’s Transportation Department. The hourly rate of pay for substitute drivers is $15.00 per hour. Interested in a fulltime route? Greenville City Schools Transportation Department has an immediate opening for Bus Drivers. Compensation and benefits include: $18.52 to $23.71 per hour, benefit package including medical, dental and vision, training fees paid, guaranteed 20 hours a week and trip opportunities.
Any interested adult may apply, given he/she can satisfy the following requirements:
Valid Driver’s license
21 years of age, or older
Satisfactory FBI and BCI background checks
Drug and alcohol testing
Training includes:
15-hour Ohio Pre-Service Training classroom instruction course
Commercial Learners Permit: general knowledge test, air brake test, passenger vehicle test, school bus test
Medical examination, physical
Minimum 12 hours on bus instruction driving time
CDL test: pre-trip inspection test, maneuverability test, road test
