September at Eldora Speedway: from the Earl Baltes Classics to the World 100

On Sunday, September 3, Eldora Speedway had its 15th Earl Baltes Classics Event. Fans saw Late Models, Modifieds and Stocks.

Ricky Weiss won the Late Models A-feature (30 Laps) in a start-finish-lead and took $5000 home, Jeff Koz was the first driver to see the checkered flag at the Modifieds A-feature, winning $1000 and Tyler Dietz crossed the finished line first at the Stocks A-feature. Dietz’s car didn’t pass the post race-inspections, so the 2nd placed Jeremy Creech with car #17 was declared winner of the Stocks A-feature, receiving a $750-check.

The 50/50 winner took $6,450 home. The proceeds from this drawing go towards the Darke County Regional Fire Training Facility which will serve 22 area departments.

The next event will be from Thursday (Sept. 7) through Saturday (Sept. 9): the 53rd running of the World 100®!

On Thursday, all drivers participate in the Twin 25 Prelim Night #1 as they collect points each time on the track using the Every Lap Matters points format. Those points help seed the Saturday night heat races. Thursday’s full racing program includes qualifying, heat races, B-Mains, and Twin 25-lap $12,000-to-win main events.

On Saturday, the traditional World 100 format includes six 15-lap heat races, two 20-lap B-Mains, and the 100-lap main event.
