Sharon Buchy, age 81 of Greenville, Ohio passed away Monday October 18, 2021 at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville. Sharon was born March 5, 1940, the daughter of Gustav and Bernice Steinvall in Coeur D Alene, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her parents, parents-in-law George and Amba Buchy, brothers-in-law Gene Lees, Charles and Bob Buchy, and nephew Erik Steinvall.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jim, son John, daughter Kathryn (Kevin) Kerg, grandchildren: Katelyn (Aaron), Samantha, Jacob, Aaron, Sarah, Jessica (Brandon), Kevin (Madison), Caroline and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Ruth Lees and Cheryl Steinvall, twin brother Gary Steinvall, sisters-in-law Lindsay and Phyllis Buchy and many loved nieces and nephews.
Sharon lived a life of service to others. As a devoted wife and mother, she loved without condition and supported the public through the elected offices held by Jim. She served as an active member in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lambda Phi Omega Sorority, Columbian Club, Darke County Republican Party, Darke County Republican Women’s Club and Darke County Mental Health Board. She owned Buchy Food Service working as the company Secretary and Credit Manager.
Sharon was known for her many talents and generosity as a seamstress and craft maker. She also loved reading and playing bridge with her wonderful friends. She was loved by so many and will be missed by them all.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday October 22, 2021 in the St. Paul Lutheran Church 131 East Fourth Street Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Alan Knoke officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM in the Church.
