Shelley Lynn Brinley, 67, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away early Monday morning, March 14, 2022, at her home.
She was born on April 14, 1954, in Xenia, Ohio, to the late Robert and Marilyn (Riegle) George.
In addition to her parents, Shelley was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law, Tish Bashore and Janice Brinley.
Shelley was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and Woman of Faith. Her happy places included being with her family and walking sandy beaches. Shelley and her husband, Steve, spent their years together serving the Church and their community. Much of her career was spent in Human Resources and she recently retired from Greenville Federal Bank where she was known to greet you with her beautiful smile and the best style. Although her battle with cancer was challenging, she was determined to make more memories with her family and friends. Her last days were spent surrounded by her loved ones who were inspired by her unwavering Faith. Shelley’s sweet voice, kind spirit and contagious smile will forever be missed.
Shelley is survived by her husband of 44 years, Steven “Stevie Jo” Brinley, whom she married on October 1, 1977; her daughter, Nicole Wasson, of Greenville; her grandchildren, Allison (Adam) Burk of Greenville, and Taylor (Ric) Drew of Greenville; her great grandchildren, Kali, Sawyer, Rhett, and Kash Drew, and Charley Burk; her sister, Mary (Daryl) Riffle of Ansonia, Ohio; her cousin (like a sister), Pam (Nick) Ruchty of Ansonia. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Adam (Jessica) Riffle of Ansonia, Andrew (Kalie) Riffle of Greenville, Michael (Cathi) Brinley of Middleburg, Florida, Mark (Gabbie) Brinley of Middleburg, Melissa Brinley of Middleburg, Emily Ruchty of Naples, Florida, and Ashley (Sean) Lawyer of Bangkok; her brother-in-law, Larry Brinley of Middleburg, and her fur-baby, Scooby, her favorite child.
A celebration of Shelley’s life will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastors Hershel and Eric Fee officiating.
Shelley’s family will be receiving guests on Monday, from 4:00 PM until the time of the celebration at 6:00 PM, at the funeral home.
