Sherry Ann Mueller, 55, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at her home.
She was born on October 21, 1966, in Portland, Indiana, to Mary (Stump) and James Brown of Fort Recovery, Ohio, and the late Allen K. Burkett.
Sherry was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Stump, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Burkett.
Someone like Sherry is impossible to sum up in a few short words. She was always smiling, infecting everyone around her. She was ornery, mischievous, and usually the instigator. She would set things in motion and watch everything unfold. Sherry loved to travel with friends and family. She would usually do all the planning and driving; getting lost often and mastering the art of U-turns. Sherry loved kids and they loved her. She would get down on the floor and play on their level. She always had treats ready for them, and they knew it.
Sherry worked at Darke County Job and Family Services as a case manager for 27 years. She loved all her co-workers and looked forward to going to work. She spoiled her little dog, Lazlo. He was her baby. She loved her family and had more friends than can be counted. Sherry was a light around which people were drawn, and that warmth and love will always be part of anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sherry is survived by her husband of 32 years, Dan Mueller, whom she married on April 21, 1990; her son, Nathan Mueller of Ansonia; her sister, Tanya (Charles) Harrington of Round Hill, Virginia; her niece and nephew, Meaghan and Justin Harrington; her mother and father-in-law, Paul and Elaine Mueller of New Weston, Ohio; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Rich and Janice Schwieterman of Versailles, Ohio, Rob and Judy Longenecker of Beamsville, Ohio, Don Mueller of Russia, Ohio, and Scott and Joyce Wendel of Fort Recovery. Sherry also leaves behind her little playmate, Lazlo, her Shitz shu; and countless other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
Her family will receive guests on Sunday, June 19, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and again on Monday, from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 20, 2022, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville, with Father Andrew Hess officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
