Shirley A. Pitsenbarger age 90, of Versailles passed away at 9:16 pm Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at her residence.
Shirley was born December 29, 1932, in Miami County to the late Milton & Edna (Niesley) Buckingham. Shirley was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Pitsenbarger on July 23, 1998, whom she married June 21, 1953; grandson, Karlon Staten; great great granddaughter, Violet Meyer; brothers, Donnie, Bill and Bob Buckingham; and sisters, Maxine Shade, Doris Wenrick, Ruth Weldy, Dortha Shappie and Helen Downey.
Shirley is survived by her children, Randy & Janice Pitsenbarger of Versailles, Cindy & Sherman Lewis of Versailles and Bruce & Kathy Pitsenbarger of Troy; grandchildren, Matthew & Emily Pitsenbarger, Marie & Joseph Songer, Marcus & Molly Pitsenbarger, Mitchell & Shelby Pitsenbarger, Rob Osborne, Amanda & Steve Kellem, Tony & Shellie Lewis, Dustin & Ashlee Lewis, Tim & Kelsi Lewis, Jesse & Michelle Staten and Amy & Jeff Smith; 49 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Monday, February 13, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church 204 East Wood St. Versailles, with Pastor Ippy Mwakabonga officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles and Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church.
