Sue (Eubank) Best

Sue (Eubank) Best, 71, of Greenville, Ohio, formerly of Castine, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, March 18, 2022 at the Village Green Health Campus in Greenville.

Sue was born January 7, 1951 to the late George and Evalee (Stocker) Eubank of New Madison.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Howard “Bud” Best; daughter, Margaret “Meg” Best; brother, George Muncie Eubank; and sisters, Sharon Shuttleworth and Glenna Batten.

Sue worked for several years at Corning in Greenville. After retiring from Corning, she worked at HeadStart in Greenville. Sue loved her family and spending time with them. She loved to crochet, watch crime shows, long country drives and covered bridges. Sue also held treasured memories of traveling to Gulf Shores, Alabama with Bud and Nicki and Danny Lee.

Sue is survived by her daughters, Shari (Jeff) Wappelhorst of Greenville, Rebecca (Joanne Cannon) Best of Australia, and Elizabeth (Gary Hall) Best of Winchester, Indiana; her grandchildren, Mariah (Chris) North of Arcanum, Joey (Megan Dunn) Wappelhorst of Greenville, Sam Cannon and Georgina Bentley of Australia, Zeph Cass of Eaton, and Addy Cass and Josie Best of Winchester, Indiana; her great grandchildren, Lucy, Milly, and Daisy, all of Australia, her sisters, Virginia Henson of Crawley, West Virginia, and Lois Delk of Greenville; several nieces and nephews; and special cousins, Nicki (Danny) Lee of Indianapolis and Charlotte Fletcher of Greenville.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Village Green Health Campus and EverHeart Hospice for their wonderful and incredibly kind care of their Mom. Also, to Kim Fair for being an amazing cheerleader for Sue.

A celebration of Sue’s life will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Bible Fellowship Church, 7757 Greenville Celina Road, Greenville, Ohio 45331, with Pastor Scott Gruber officiating. The family request that casual attire be worn.
