Due to the hot weather DCCA and Darke DD changed the venue for its event on Make Music Day from the Yolo Park to the Sure Shot Tap House – and the venue was packed!
Make Music Day is an international celebration of the Summer Solstice. Since June 2021 DCCA has invited residents and music enthusiasts across Darke County and beyond to join them as they annually present Make Music Darke County.
In 2023, local Katie Gilpin and Sue Huston, Communications Connections Coordinator at Darke County Board of Developmental Disabilities approached DCCA with the idea for a concert and musical celebration as part of the Make Music Darke County celebration. This year again, DCCA again partnered with Darke DD with Gilpin as program coordinator and Sam Ploch as emcee.
The visitors of the event were enthusiastic about the performances and the concert was once again a big success.
