DECEMBER 13, 1948 – SEPTEMBER 27, 2022
Susan Ann (Henry) Christensen, 73 passed away on September 27, 2022, in Greenville, Ohio, after a brave battle with a long term illness. She was born on December 13, 1948, in Vallejo, California, and grew up in Union City, Indiana.
Susan was a graduate of Union City Community High School and a proud member of her much cherished “Class of 1966”. She spent her early adult life in Union City and Winchester then relocated to Richmond, Virginia, and later to Georgetown, Kentucky, before returning home and settling in Greenville, Ohio. Her intense work ethic served as a model and a trait greatly admired by her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing word puzzles and computer games, traveling to see family and socializing with her lifelong friends. Susan’s presence, bright smile, unique sense of humor and big bear hugs will be greatly missed.
Susan is survived by her loving children, Angela (Brian) Gard of Winchester, Indiana, favorite son, Nathan (Amy) Marsh of Atlanta, Georgia, and Sarah Christensen of Richmond, Virginia; beloved grandchildren, Alex Taylor of Richmond, Virginia, Matt (Caitlyn) Polley of Georgetown, Kentucky, Collin Taylor of Richmond, Virginia, Evan (Haley) Polley of Georgetown, Kentucky, Bailey Marsh of Atlanta, Georgia, Madison Marsh of Atlanta, Georgia, Elisabeth (Luis) Bernal of Winchester, Indiana, Morgan (Victoria) Gard of Toledo, Ohio, and Alex (Ashley) Gard of Union City, Indiana; great grandchildren, Ace, Aria, and Addison Polley of Georgetown, Kentucky, and Sofia and Presley Bernal of Winchester, Indiana; sister, Georgeanna Rosenbush of South Bend, Indiana; niece, Nicole (Arron) Booton of Riverside, Illinois; sister-in-law, Hanni Henry of Westchester, Illinois; and great niece and nephew, Ava and Aiden Booton of Riverside, Illinois.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie and Robert Rosenbush; brothers, Patrick Henry and Stanley (John) Henry; and beloved grandson, Chad Michael Polley.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Union City Cemetery in Union City, Indiana, with Pastor Scott Miller officiating.
