The Animal Shelter has 4 new dogs waiting for their fur-ever homes

The Darke County Animal Shelter has 4 new dogs available for adoption.

They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.

The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645

Note: August 19-23 The shelter will be closing at Noon (12:00) Daily. We are participating at the Darke County Fair. We are located in the Wildlife Conservation tent across from Farmer Browns. Stop out see our display and talk with staff.

Bear came to us as an owner surrender. We believe Bear is 7 months old intact male Lab Mix. Bear did come in with his brother and sisters. Bear’s owners told us that he is great with kids, cats, dogs, farm animals and has been an outside dog. Bear doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Bear has shown us that he loves attention and eat treats. He is a little shy at first and warm up in no time. Bear did great for his exam where he weighs in at 48 lbs
Daisy came to us as an owner surrender. We believe Daisy is 7 months old female Lab Mix. Daisy did come in with her brothers and sister. Daisy’s owners told us that Daisy is great with kids, cats, dogs, farm animals and has been an outside dog. Daisy doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Daisy is going to need family that will give her the time to warm up to them she is very shy when you first meet her. Daisy like to eat treats. Daisy did great for her exam where she weighs in at 37.5 lbs.
Kane came to us as an owner surrender. We are told Kane is a 2-year-old Husky Mix. Kane’s owners told us that he is great with kids, cats, dogs, and loves to cuddle. Kane has shown us that he knows how to sit, loves treats and interested in toys! Kane is a sweet boy who loves people and is learning to walk on a leash. Kane doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Kane did great for his exam where he weighs in at 59 lbs.
Penelope came to us as an owner surrender. We believe Penelope is 7 months old female Lab Mix. Penelope did come in with her brothers and sister. Penelope’s owners told us that Penelope is great with kids, cats, dogs, farm animals and has been an outside dog. Penelope doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Penelope is very sweet girl who is a little shy at first and is going to need a family to give her time to warm up to them. Penelope like to eat treats. Penelope did great for her exam where she weighs in at 33.4 lbs.
