The Darke County Animal Shelter has 7 new dogs available for adoption.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.
Ox came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Ox is a 3-year-old, neutered male Terrier Mix. Ox has shown us he knows how to sit and loves treats .Ox is a super friendly boy who loves attention. Ox learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Ox did great for his bath, nail trim and exam where he weighs in at 38.2 lbs.
Thelma came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Thelma is a 1 1/2-year-old female Golden Retriever Mix. Thelma has shown us she knows how to sit, loves treats and attention! Thelma learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Thelma did great for her bath, nail trim and exam where she weighed in at 45 lbs.
Skeeter came to us as an owner surrender, due to no fault of her own. Unfortunately, her owner is having health problems and couldn’t keep her. We are told Skeeter is a 12-year-old female Chihuahua Mix. Skeeter’s owner told us that Skeeter is good with cats and dogs. Skeeter is a very sweet girl who just wants to cuddle up to you. Skeeter walks well on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Skeeter did great for bath, nail trim and her exam where she weighs in at 9.2 lbs.
Hank came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. We are told Hank is a 1 1/2 -year-old intact male Shepherd Mix. Hank’s owner told us that Hank loves kids, dog, cats and crate trained! Hank loves treats. Hank is learning to walks on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Hank did great for his exam where he weighs in at 62 lbs.
Kane came to us as an owner surrender, due to no fault of his own. Unfortunately, his owner didn’t have enough time for him. We have been told Kane a 2-year-old, neutered male Australian Shepherd Mix. Kane’s owner told us that he is great with kids, cats, dogs, housebroken and is crate trained. Kane is a very sweet boy who is learning to walk on a leash. Kane doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Kane loves treats and loves anyone who will give him attention! Kane did great for his bath, nail trim and exam where he weighed in at 35.6 lbs.
Homie came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. We are told Homie is a 1 1/2 -year-old intact male Lab Mix. Homie’s owner told us that Homie loves kids, dog, cats and crate trained! Homie has shown us that he loves treats! Homie is learning to walks on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Homie did great for his exam where he weighs in at 50.2 lbs.
Bubba came to us as an owner surrender. We believe Bubba is a 8-month-old, intact male Shepherd Mix. Bubba’s owner told us that Bubba does great with other dogs and loves to play. Bubba has shown us that he knows how to sit, loves treats and attentions! Bubba is super friendly boy. Bubba learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Bubba did great for his bath and exam where he weighs in at 42.4 lbs.
