The Darke County Animal Shelter has 7 new dogs available for adoption.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645

Roxanna came to us as a stray so our knowledge about her is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Roxanna an 8-year-old female Corgi Mix. Roxanna has shown us that she knows how to sit, loves attention and treats. Roxanna learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Rusty came to us as an owner surrender at no fault of his. We have been told Rusty is 8 months old intact male Terrier Mix. Rusty is looking for a forever home to give him love & attention! Rusty’s owners told us that he had been around little dogs and is housebroken. Rusty doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter and is learning to walk on leash! Rusty has shown us that he knows sit, loves attention and eat treats. Rusty did great for his nail trim, bath and exam where he weighs in at 45 lbs. Luke came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Luke is a 2 1/2-year-old intact male Lab Mix. Luke shown us that he knows how to sit, shake and laydown. Luke loves to play ball, treats and attention. Luke is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Luke did great for his nail trim, bath and exam where he weighs in at 60.6 lbs.Jerry came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Jerry is a 9-month-old, intact male Shepherd Mix. Jerry is a little shy at first but becomes super friendly boy who just wants to be loved on after warming up. Jerry shown us that he knows how to sit and loves treats. Jerry is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Jerry did great for nail trim, bath and exam where he weighs in at 35 lbs. Diesel came to us as an owner surrender. We are told Diesel is a 9-year-old Shepherd Mix. Diesel’s owners told us that he is great with kids, dogs and was outside door. Diesel is not a fan of cats. Diesel loves to be outside! Diesel is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Bo shown us that he knows how to sit, shake, loves to play ball, treats and attention. Bo is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Bo did great for his nail trim, bath and exam where he weighs in at 59.4 lbs. Ben came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Ben is a 2-year-old, intact male Shepherd Mix. Ben loves treats and really enjoys being outside. Ben is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t seem mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Ben did great for his nail trim, bath and exam where he weighs in at 49 lbs.
