The Darke County Animal Shelter has 4 new dogs available for adoption.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.
Rosita came to us as a stray so are knowledge about her is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Rosita is a 1-year-old female Poodle Mix. Rosita has shown us that she likes to play ball, loves treats and attention. Rosita is learning to walks on a leash! Rosita was found with another dog, and she doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Rosita is a very patient girl who did come into the shelter very matted and didn’t mind when we trying to cut out some of her matts. Rosita will need to go to a groomer after being adopted in the near future as our staff did their best to remove what they were able to with the tools we have. Rosita did great for her bath, nail trim and exam where is weighs in at 46.8 lbs.Rico came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Rico is a 1 year old, intact male Poodle Mix. Rico has shown us he likes treats and is very playful. Rico loves attention and is so happy and bouncy! Rico doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter and also came in with another dog that he was playing with. Rico loves to be outside and play with anyone who will give him attention! Rico came in very matted and was very patient while trying to relieve some tension from the matts! Rico will need to go to a groomer after being adopted in the near future as our staff did their best to remove what they were able to with the tools we have. Rico did great for his bath, nail trim and exam where he was so patient and he weighed in at 38.5 lbsHank came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Hank is a 2-year-old, intact male Terrier Mix. Hank is a happy boy who loves attention. Hank has shown us he knows how to sit, shake and laydown! Hank loves to play ball, tug-a-way and is very treat motivated. Hank is learning to walk on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter. Hank did great for his bath, nail trim and exam where he weighed in at 65.2lbs Buckeye came to us as a stray so our knowledge about him is very limited, and what we do know is ONLY from what we have observed here at the shelter. We believe Buckeye is a 2 year old, intact male Australian Shepherd Mix. Buckeye is a VERY happy boy who loves attention. Buckeye has shown us he likes treats, will play fetch and bring the ball back! Buckeye has met with 2 kids and just adored them! Buckeye walks great on a leash and will stay right with you. Buckeye does not seem to mind the other dogs here at the shelter and just loves everyone! Buckeye will greet you with his whole-body wiggling! Buckeye did great for his bath, nail trim and exam where he loved to give kisses and he weighed in at 52 lbs
