The Hive Collective celebrates 2nd anniversary with a ribbon cutting ceremony

On MSG’s First Friday in June, the Hive Collective on Broadway (517 S Broadway) celebrated its 2nd anniversary with a ribbon cutting.

The Hive Collective features handcrafted products and goods from local sources.

Owner Kristin Jones is said that people approach her and ask whether the Hive Collective is willing to add their products to their shop and she is excited to offer them a way to feature these good.

Jones thanked the community, the county, the creative people and makers, that are selling in the Hive Collection and the friends and the family that supported her and her co-workers.

“Darke County is probably one of the best counties to live in”, so Kristin Jones.

Jones also shared a story with the crowd: after closing and talking to the former owner of the building Jones learned that the original business was the bee-hive. The building was built for the bee-hive and the arch above the door kind of resembled a hive.
