Andrew Riffle owner of The Whistle Stop in Ansonia, and Sure Shot in Greenville and Eldora Speedway have a long relationship and so it’s no surprise that The Whistle Stop presented this event.
Andrew worked at Eldora Speedway for 16 years for Earl and Tony. For a good chunk of his tenure he assisted in selling tickets. When he had the opportunity to buy The Whistle Stop in 2015, he still continued working for Eldora Speedway for a few years, but when his business grew too much, he had to make a decision and focused on his business(es). He still is involved by sponsoring Eldora, race teams, dirt podcasts, and more.
The race on June 16th had 2 features: the All Star Circuit of Champions (“winged” Sprint Cars), $12,000 to win and the BOSS Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series with $2,000 to win.
In the first A-Feature, the All Star Circuit of Champions, Sam Hafertepe jr. (left in the featured photo) was the winner. Nick Bilbee (right in the featured photo) won the second A-Feature, the BOSS Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series.
