Thomas Allen Feitshans

Thomas (Tom) Allen Feitshans, 83, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2024 at 1:37 PM at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was born March 18, 1941 in Darke County, Ohio, the son of the late Howard and Mary (Bristley) Feitshans.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his Sister, Marcia Morris and Brother, Larry Feitshans.

He is survived by his adoring Wife, Bonnie (Weherley) Feitshans, whom he married on November 27, 1982. He leaves behind a lasting legacy with his Children, Jeff (Trisha) Feitshans, Theresa “Terri” (Alan) Scales, and Rob Feitshans. His Step Children, Rob (Amy) O’Dell and Lon (Dianna) O’Dell. His Sisters, Sue Stammen, Kathy (Mike) Fout, and Jolene (Bill) Roth. He also leaves behind numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Thomas was a graduate of Franklin Monroe High School, in the class of 1959. He spent 32 years at General Motors and working as an Industrial Plumber. He was a member of the Pitsburg Lions Club and attended SonRise Church in Ithaca. Tom was a man of many hobbies and was described by his family as a “Tinkerer”. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, camping, tennis, riding bikes and Harley’s with his friends. His competitive spirit would come out when it came to playing cards, you just had to keep up with him! He is known for being a sharp dressing fella, his family told stories of the time he was rocking a “Mike Brady perm” for a while. Tom was one of the most determined people you would have the pleasure of knowing, if it was something he thought he could do by himself, he would do it without even thinking of asking for help. He took great pride in his organizational skills, his garage was in immaculate condition. Every tool had its place and he knew exactly where everything was, even if it was a part for a car or belt for a tractor he had kept long after that the vehicle was gone. But above all the passions Thomas had in his life, his family was above it all, they remember him as being a very caring and loving man. He has a quick wit and was always cracking jokes. Thomas will be deeply missed by his friends, family and everyone who had the privilege of meeting him during his time here on this earth.

The family will be holding a visitation on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 5PM to 7PM at SonRise Church (750 Arcanum-Ithaca Rd, Arcanum, OH 45304 P.O. BOX 6) in Ithaca, Ohio. There will be a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 11AM. The service will be officiated by Rev. Marla Brown and Rev. John Wiltshire. The family will be having a private family burial at New Comer Cemetery at a later date.
