On April 4, 2025 at approximately 3:48 pm, Darke County Deputies along with Versailles Fire, Versailles Rescue and Ansonia Rescue responded to the intersection of Versailles-Yorkshire Road and Burns Road in reference to a two vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a blue 2011 Toyota Prius driven by Alan Knoke (67) of Union City, Ohio was traveling westbound on Burns Road at Versailles-Yorkshire Road. Knoke failed to yield after a clearly marked stop sign, traveling into the path of a silver 2022 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by Imagene Potter (19) of Versailles. Potter struck Knoke on the passenger side causing both vehicles to travel off the roadway. Knoke’s passenger, Patricia Knoke (66) had to be mechanically extricated from the vehicle by Versailles Fire.
All three occupants were transported to Wayne Healthcare for further evaluation with non-life threatening injuries.
