The Darke County Animal Shelter has 3 new dogs available for adoption.
They got the Bordatella and Parvo/Lepto/Distemper vaccines and are heartworm negative, dewormed and microchipped.
The Shelter’s visiting hours are Monday-Friday 8am-11:45 am and 1 pm-4pm. Saturday only by appointment. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Rd. Greenville, OH 45331 and you can reach them at 937-547-1645.
Sophie came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of her own, they no longer have time for her! We are told Sophie is a 9-month-old female Shepherd/ Cane Corso Mix. Sophie’s owner told us that she has been around kids ages 2-4 years old and adores them, Great with cats and dogs. Sophie likes to play fetch with a stick or a ball and rides great in a car! Sophie is a very sweet girl, she is a little shy at first but once you take her out of the kennel, she becomes a very playful pup! Sophie has shown us she knows how to sit, play ball, even if it’s by herself and she is very treat motivated! Sophie walks well on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Sophie did great for her nail trim, bath and exam where she weighs in at 57.5 lbs. Otis came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own! We are told Otis is a 3-year-old neutered male Schnauzer/ Poodle Mix. Otis’s owner told us that he is great with kids of all ages, has never been around cats, and is great with other dogs. Otis is crate trained and is working on being housebroken. Otis loves to play and loves to go to the groomers to be pampered! Otis is a very handsome boy who is so loving and has shown us he knows how to sit, is treat motivated. Otis walks well on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Otis was a ham for his bath and exam where he enjoyed every moment and weighs in at 40.6 lbs. Nelly came to us as an owner surrender due to no fault of her own, the other dog at home did not care for Nelly! We are told Nelly is a 1 1/2-year-old spayed female Doberman Mix. Nelly’s owner told us that she has never been around kids or cats, but she does love playing with other dogs! Nelly is housebroken, crate trained, loves to play ball and she thinks she is a lap pup! Nelly is a very sweet girl who has shown us she knows how to sit, eat treats and LOVES to play fetch! Nelly walks great on a leash and doesn’t mind the other dogs here at the shelter! Nelly did great for her nail trim, bath and exam where she weighs in at 47.5 lbs.
