Todd Owen Oliver, age 70 of Greenville, Ohio passed away Friday evening December 10, 2021 in the emergency room of Wayne Healthcare of Greenville. Todd was born January 23, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Mildred Williamson.
Todd was a 1969 graduate of Greenville Senior High School, a 1974 graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was retired from Corning Inc. following 30 years of employment with his last position as the Maintenance Supervisor. Following his work at Corning, he was involved with Met Life as a Life Insurance Salesman and then worked with Dave Snyder as a property manager.
Todd was a member of the EUM Church of Greenville and enjoyed serving at the Café of the church. He had served 12 years on the Greenville City Council and was a volunteer with the Red Cross having been involved with the Red Cross efforts following the Rita and Katrina hurricanes. He also enjoyed spending special time with his family and grandchildren, time working in the yard, and projects around the home.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Fred and Bertha Williamson.
Todd is survived by his wife Debra L. (Capstick) Oliver of Greenville. They were married April 22, 1978. Also their daughters Teresa (John) Sargent of Carmel, Indiana, Loni (Gene) Norwood of Blue Springs, Missouri and Carrie Swiger of Greenville; grandchildren Audrey Swiger, Liam Swiger, Brianna Sargent, Charlotte Sargent and James Norwood; his aunt Phyllis Williamson; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday December 17, 2021 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Don Smith officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday December 16, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
