NEW MADISON- After a devastating loss to Preble Shawne a week ago (42-25) Tri-Village took its frustrations out on Twin Valley South Friday, 36-6 in Western Ohio Athletic Conference action.
Junior high Trey Sagester has proven himself as a true leader for the Patriots.
Against the Panthers, Sagester hit on 21 of 32 pass attempts for 327 yards with several scores.
“Trey has taken control of the team and has proven himself. He’s done a great job” said TV coach Matt Hopkins.
Holding a 6-0 lead, the Patriots added another score at the 6:53 mark when sophomore Hayden Hunt caught a pass for a score.
The Patriots soon went up 20-0 on a nine yard run by Lathen Wehr.
The Panthers lone tally came in the second quarter on a 90 yard run by senior Carson Hurst with 4:13 remaining in the half but that would as close as the Panthers would get.
After that it was all Tri-Village.
With the win, the Patriots move to 2-1 on the year and will travel to Mississinawa Valley next week.
