New Madison- After winning big on the road a week ago at Troy Christian, Tri-Village came home looking to make it two in a row.
Standing in their way was Preble Shawnee on a key Western Ohio Athletic Conference game.
The Patriots did everything they could do but in the end, the Arrows were too much for the Patriots as Preble Shawnee posted a 42-25 victory.
The Patriots battled one mistake after another but became their own worse enemy in the end.
Junior quarterback Trey Sagester put the team on his back in an attempt to gain a victory for the Patriots a victory.
Tri-Village trailed at all the breaks, 7-0, 14-7 and 21-19 before falling in the end.
Now 1-1 on the season, the Patriots will host Twin Valley South next week.
In other action in the WOAC, Mississinawa Valley topped Dixie 20-6, Ansonia blasted Bradford 60-12 and on Thursday, National Trail outlasted Tri-County North, 26-12.
Next week, Arcanum will host Mississinawa Valley on Thursday, while Arcanum will welcome will host Bradford and Ansonia will travel to Dixie.
