Victor William “Bill” Boltin, age 87 of Springboro, Ohio and formerly of Greenville passed away at 8:00 PM Friday October 15, 2021 at the Elmcroft of Washington Township. Bill was born December 9, 1933 in Darke County, Ohio and the son of the late Dewey and Beatrice (Weaver) Boltin.
He was retired having been employed with the Ohio Department of Transportation. Bill was a veteran serving in the US Army, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenville, as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge #140, V.F.W. and American Legion, all of Greenville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons Mark W. Boltin and Jeff Boltin as an infant. Also by his sister Jane Smith.
Bill is survived by his wife Gloria Jean (King) Boltin of Springboro. They were married July 4, 1954. Also children Elizabeth “Missy” (Steve) Harris of Springboro and David Boltin of Greenville; grandchildren Kimberly Boltin, Brandon Harris, Jacob Harris, Matthew Boltin and Jeff Boltin and great grandson Nathaniel Boltin.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday October 23, 2021 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Stelvideo Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of the services in the funeral home. The Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct full military honors Saturday morning in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to Darke County Humane Society.
