Virginia Rose (Bennett) Clark

Virginia Rose Clark, 97, of Crooksville, formerly of Arcanum, died in the early morning hours of Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Oaks at Northpoint.

She was born on December 1, 1927, one of twelve children to the late John and Bertha (Bender) Bennett. 

Virginia was a fiercely independent person; she enjoyed being able to live and take care of her own home up until the last few weeks of her life. She was a devoted woman, an advocate for her family, a stalwart figure for her children, a dedicated grandma, an exceptional G.G. and a doting Great G.G. Virginia was incredibly skilled at any type of craft, whether it be ceramics, painting or needlepoint, her creativity and artistic nature was coveted within her family. In her spare time, Virginia was the Armchair Coach for the Cincinnati Reds, she never missed a game, always critiqued the real coaches and managers and was always familiar with the current roster of players. Her passion, her faithfulness and her love for her family will be truly missed. 

Virginia is survived by her children, Shirley Clark, Connie (Paul) Montgomery, and Richard (Linda) Clark; her daughter-in-law, Ginny Bennett; her 13 grandchildren; her 22 great-grandchildren and her 1 great-great-grandchild. 

In addition to her parents, preceding Virginia in death are her husband, Ralph Clark; her daughter, Alice Clark Klingler; her son, Bill Bennett and her 11 siblings, of which she was the last living. 

Friends and family are welcome to pay respects from 5-7:00 PM, Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville, OH. Additional visiting hours will be from 12-1:00 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St., Arcanum, OH, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jim Stilwell officiating. Virginia will then be laid to rest in Ithaca Cemetery in Arcanum.
