GREENVILLE – Greenville Public Library are proud to welcome Wayne HealthCare Wellness Center team members Robyn Feitshans, MS, Karen Droesch, RD, Angela Favorite, BS, and Jordan Francis, MPH, on Tuesday, August 30. The Wellness Center team will provide free blood pressure screenings, nutrition and diabetes education, and wellness program information during an open house from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the third floor conference room.
Two general nutrition presentations will be provided at 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. by Angela Favorite. Each presentation will last approximately ten minutes and will focus on portion sizes, fat intake, carbohydrates, sodium, and other general nutrition topics. Angela will be on hand to offer nutrition information before and after the two scheduled presentations. Diabetes educator Karen Droesch will be available to answer diabetes related questions and provide information on the basics of nutrition for those with Diabetes.
Blood pressure screenings and information about managing and improving blood pressure through lifestyle changes will be offered during the open house.
There will also be additional information on getting and staying active, with a focus on accessibility and inclusion. This will include information on the easiest ways to get active and readily available modes of physical activity.
Participants can expect to be engaged in activities for approximately 20 minutes if they come to one of the two presentations and visit each member of the Wellness team. For more information, please contact the library at (937) 548-3915.
