ANSONIA—The Ansonia Local Schools Board of Education selected PJ Burgett as the new Superintendent of the School District. PJ is entering his 20th year in education, 12 of those as a secondary principal. During his career, PJ has served as a classroom teacher, coach, athletic director and principal.
Most recently Burgett served for 7 years as Middle and High School Principal at Franklin Monroe Schools.
PJ brings a wide range of experiences to successfully lead the Ansonia Local School District into the future. As Superintendent, he will strive to continue the rich tradition of excellence for Ansonia Schools.
Burgett looks forward to working closely with school board members to maintain the district’s shared vision.
PJ is very excited to have the opportunity to lead the administration, staff, students and community in providing Ansonia students with an excellent educational experience. He will begin his position at Ansonia on Monday, August 22. PJ’s wife Mindy is an elementary teacher for the Bradford Exempted Village School District and they have four children. The Burgett family will continue to reside in the Bradford Exempted Village School District.
