YOLO Festival of Races
May 14 / Race-day registration from 6-8 a.m., Greenville High School
Take part in a 5K, 15K or half-marathon on a flat and beautiful terrain course through Greenville. The course also incorporates a handful of historic sites along the way. All races start and finish at Greenville High School’s stadium. Cash prizes for the top finishers!
Darke County Food Truck Rally
May 14 / 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Darke County Fairgrounds
Join us for a fun day filled with food trucks, a craft vendor market, live music, petting zoo, pony rides and the Spring Stampede with 3-J Rodeo
Downtown Greenville Architectural Tour
May 20 / 6-9 p.m., Downtown Greenville
Do you want to learn about the history of our beautiful downtown buildings? Main Street Greenville is hosting a guided architectural tour so don’t miss out! Tickets go on sale May 6th and are $10 each. Tickets will be sold at the Welcome Center, Bread Of Life, Ciao Bella Boutique and Refined-Purveyors of Fine Goods. We hope to see you there!
Back the Blue Memorial Ceremony
May 21 / Gates open at 4:30 p.m., Darke County Fairgrounds
Held in honor of the law enforcement officers who serve our communities! The event features food trucks, live music and police cruisers on display. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. rain or shine. A memorial ceremony will be held at 8:30 p.m. The event is free to the public.
Family Fireworks Night
May 21 / Ticket sales begin at 3:30 p.m.; Spectator gates open at 5 p.m, Eldora Speedway, Rossburg
Always a crowd pleaser with the action on the track and off! The NRA 360 Sprint cars, modifieds and Eldora stock cars take on the most famous dirt track in the nation. Additional entertainment includes an autograph session, bounce houses and balloon twisting clowns. The night is capped by one of the best fireworks displays in the region. And don’t forget to try the world-famous Pizza Burger!
Toledo Symphony Orchestra
May 28 / 8 p.m., St. Clair Memorial Hall, Greenville
Always a much-anticipated part of the DCCA season, TSO returns to St. Clair Memorial Hall, bringing its exceptionally talented musicians and melodious repertoire of innovative and inspirational compositions. TSO, now in its 76th season, reaches an audience of more than 260,000 annually and has built a strong national reputation for its artistic excellence and community programming.
Johnny Appleseed Classic
May 29 / Spectator gates open at 4 p.m., Eldora Speedway, Rossburg
The last chance for the nation’s best dirt late model drivers to race Eldora Speedway’s intimidating high-banked, half-mile track before the upcoming Dirt Late Model Dream! The racing card also includes modifieds and Eldora stocks.
Railroad Heritage Festival
June 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Bradford Railroad Museum
Family Friendly event for train lovers of all ages! Railroad displays, Thomas the Train kiddie ride, Kiddie Tractor Pull, drone race, children’s games and activities and crafts. Music by Joseph Helfrich and Rev. Sharon Jones.
