If you’re looking for a way to improve your wildlife photography skills, look no further! Bill Light will be hosting a photography workshop that will take place every Thursday starting September 30th and will end on November 4th. The class will be from 6pm-8pm and will cost $10.
The scope of this course would be driven by the wants and/or needs of the participants and determined by group consensus at the end of each class. The overarching goal will be to give participants the skills and knowledge needed to get professional-grade wildlife and nature photographs regardless of the type of photography equipment possessed by each participant (film cameras, cell phones, digital cameras will be covered). Types of cameras, optics, media, and stability platforms will be discussed along with how each can be optimized to improve image quality. In addition, the post-processing and formatting of photos will be covered. Even more importantly, learn how to approach wildlife safely and know animal behaviors make for better pictures. Portfolios of photos will be available for study, and PowerPoint presentations will be made available. Participants should bring notebooks and pencils for notetaking.
