William “Bill” John Fremd, age 78, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away, in the presence of his family, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Unit in Greenville on March 13, 2021.
He was born on March 14, 1942, in Greenville, to the late Elmer W. and Violet V. (Longenecker) Fremd.
Bill was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a 1960 graduate of Greenville High School. He was a hard worker and jack of many trades. He worked at Westinghouse of Union City, as a machine operator, until the plant moved. Bill loved to watch baseball, car races and movies. He also enjoyed traveling and was able to take his parents on trips to many states, including Hawaii. As a hobby, Bill loved to design and make decorative lights. He will forever be remembered as a very generous and kind soul.
Bill is survived by his sister, Koneta Garbig; niece, Darcell (Tim) Burns; nephew, Doug (Tracy) Garbig; great nieces and nephews, Ryan, Meghan, Evan and Lauren Burns; as well as his caregiver Leann Hudgel.
A private burial will be held at Greenville Cemetery at the convenience of Bill’s family.
