Youth for Christ (YFC) illuminated the hearts and minds of attendees at its 2nd annual “Be the Story” Banquet, held on Thursday evening, April 4th, at the Darke County Board of Developmental Disabilities Event Room. The event, designed to showcase the transformative power of youth empowerment, drew a diverse crowd eager to support the organization’s mission.
The evening commenced with a dinner buffet, setting the stage for an evening of inspiration and reflection. A short yet impactful video captured the attention of the attendees.
Following the video presentation, the stage was set for a sharing of student stories, providing firsthand accounts of the challenges and triumphs experienced through YFC’s programs. Through heartfelt testimonials and captivating video narratives, attendees gained insight into the profound ways in which YFC is shaping the lives of young individuals, instilling values of faith, resilience, and compassion.
Central to the evening’s agenda was the presentation of the community challenge, a call to action inviting attendees to pledge their support to YFC’s ongoing initiatives. From praying and volunteering to financial contributions, guests were encouraged to join the Give Life 360 monthly giving team, pledging a commitment of $30 or more per month to sustain YFC’s impactful work.
The “Be the Story” Banquet served as a poignant reminder of the power of community and collective action in effecting positive change.
