Concerned citizens feel that the public should know about this, and the community could feel left out if they had no idea of the matter.
They wanted to let the public be aware of a project in the community that’s seeking approval from the zoning and planning committee.
A property at 312 Sycamore in Greenville is slated to become a group home for 16 residents with mental health issues that require 24/7 monitoring from the tri-county area. These residents would have access to leave and enter the home by themselves.
This issue was first brought up to a zoning meeting in December, then tabled for the January meeting after some debate.
If you are interested in learning more about this project, or have concerns, they hope you can attend the Tuesday, January 21st Zoning and Planning meeting at 6:00pm at the city building.
This meeting will decide the future of this property so please attend if you have questions or concerns. Click here for the 1.21.25 Zoning and Planning meeting agenda. This is in reference to #1 in old business.
