CAP Labor Day closings
Community Action Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area – Darke County
will be closed Mon., Sept. 3rd in honor of Labor Day. This includes the
Senior Meals Program and Darke Co. Metropolitan Housing Authority.
Normal business and service hours will resume Tues., Sept. 4th.
Community Transportation Service, operated by Community Action
Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area – Darke County, will be

for the Rails 5K set for Sept. 29
The first annual Run for the Rails 5K Run for the Rails will be held
September 29, 2012. The proceeds will benefit the capital improvements
at the railroad museum. The Run/ Walk will start at 9 am in the Y-Yard
next to the museum at 200 N. Miami Avenue. The course will be timed by

Fun
Games winners announced
The
family fun games winners at the Annie Oakley Festival have been
announced. It was a lot of fun to watch the kids trying to catch a
water balloon without it breaking. I think everyone had a good time
with it. The sack races were very competitive, especially among a
brother and sister competition. The rolling pin toss showed some of us
which lady to beware of. She had a 73 foot throw, wow. The men enjoyed

The League of Women Voters of Darke County is planning the 29th Annual
Tour of Homes for 2012 on Sunday,
September 23, 2012 from 1 to 5 p.m. Area residents look forward to this
annual tour for new innovative ways
to refresh the appearance of their own homes. Three area homes within a
10 mile radius north and east of

Gospel Sing scheduled for September 9, 2012.

Doolittles
Auto and Towing will have a booth at the Darke County Fair at Gate 6
and will be selling raffle tickets for various prizes which have been
donated by several local businesses. The cost of each ticket is $1 or 6
for $5. The public is encouraged to stop by the booth and buy chances

Community Action Partnership of the Greater Dayton Area – Darke County
will be closed Mon., Aug. 20th and Tues., Aug. 21st for building
maintenance. This includes the Senior Meals Program and Darke Co.
Metropolitan Housing Authority. The offices will re-open Wed., Aug.
22nd. Community Transportation Services, operated by CAP, will have
