DARKE COUNTY, OH — The Darke County Solid Waste District, in partnership with 1Shot Scrap and Recycling, is pleased to announce an expanded Appliance Recycling event taking place from April 1 through April 30, 2026.
In an effort to provide residents with greater flexibility and to prevent large gatherings at a single location, the District has extended this traditionally one-day event to a full month of collection. This schedule allows residents to recycle large household items at their convenience throughout April.
Drop-Off Information

Accepted Items
The following items will be accepted for recycling:
- Kitchen & Laundry: Refrigerators, freezers, stoves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers.
- HVAC & Utility: Air conditioners, dehumidifiers, furnaces, and water heaters.
- Outdoor: Grills.
