Stephen Allen Garner, age 45, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026.
He was born on March 25, 1981, the son of the late Martha (Dickey) Garner.
In addition to his mother, Stephen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Carolyn Dickey, and his bonus nephew, Cole Saintignon.
Stephen leaves behind his three children, whom he loved deeply: his daughters, Nevaeh Jolene Garner of Ada, Ohio, and Alaina Kay Garner of Ansonia; and his broken-hearted little boy, Waylen Ray Garner of Greenville. He is also survived by his bonus dad, Duke Gibbs of Ansonia; his sister, Michelle Dickey Black of Greenville; his bonus “big brother,” Danny L. Gibbs of Ansonia; his bonus sisters, Monica Saintignon of Greenville and Amber Gibbs of Fairborn; his nieces and nephews, Devan and Damon Dickey, Kylee Saintignon, and Dani and Gage Gibbs; and his great-nieces, Sofia and Lilly Roberts.
Stephen also leaves behind special family members, Angel Bowlin, the mother of his son, and her mother, Marlenea Yoder, both of Greenville.
Stephen had a deep love for the outdoors and spent many cherished hours hunting and fishing, finding peace and joy in nature.
A reception of family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. In honor of Stephen, guests are encouraged to wear relaxed attire, as he would have wanted.
