SueBelle (Colahan) Bauer, age 89 of Greenville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Sue was born July 28,1936 in Norwalk, Ohio and the daughter of the late Stuart and Ruth (Norsworthy) Colahan.
Sue’s career included several positions in the medical field: x-ray technician, cardiac unit nurse, and emergency room nurse. Her last 19 years were as a hospice nurse, that were her most fulfilling.
She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Greenville including bereavement and RCIA, a lifelong artist, and an avid reader.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband Norman F. Bauer. Her children Dana Moyer (deceased), Jill (Steve) Brewer, Patricia (Tim) Hruska, and Kelly (David) Bakke; stepchildren Christine Bauer, Laura Bauer, Ric Bauer, Barbara Bauer; many grandchildren and great grandchildren that she dearly loved.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville, Ohio with Father Matt Feist as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Church Cemetery.
