Jeanette S. Stephenson, age 89, of Bradford passed away at 6:57 pm Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.
Jeanette was born on March 5, 1937, in Houston, Ohio, to the late Clarence & Mary (Goubeaux) Weidner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Bud” Stephenson on April 3, 2025, whom she married June 17, 1952; brother, David Weidner; and sister, Catherine Pennybacker.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Linda & Frank Brown of Greenville, Pat Niswonger of Greenville, Mary Jo Martin of Bradford, and Connie & Larry Yohey of Rossburg; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Weidner of Piqua, and Sammy & Linda Weidner of Piqua; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeanette was a homemaker. She was a member of the American Shetland Pony Club, Darke County Pony Club, and Area 2 Shetland Pony Club.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Brent Wooddell officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
