On July 8, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers from the Greenville Police Department, deputies from the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of East Russ Road in response to a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Through the course of the preliminary investigation, it was determined that the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A second adult male was located at the residence and taken into custody without incident.
The incident remains under investigation by the Greenville Police Department and the Darke County Coroner’s Office.
