On July 7th, 2026 at approximately 2149 hours I was dispatched to 1361 Sweitzer St Greenville, OH ( Dollar General) on a trespass complaint.
Dollar General employee called stating a blonde female wearing a gray tank top with tattoos inside the store and she had previously been trespassed. Caller advised that she was already in the check out line when I was being dispatched. As I was traveling South on Sweitzer St just North of Dollar General, I passed a Maroon Dodge van. I was able to observe the female driver to match the description of the female from the Dollar General call.
I flipped on the vehicle in attempt to get behind it, I observed that van traveling at a higher rate of speed and turned on multiple streets. I was eventually able to locate the van parked illegally on the side of Montessori Schools at 312 Central Ave Greenville, OH with all the lights off and three subjects attempting to get away by walking down the rail road tracks. I ordered them to stop, the three were identified as Jessika Monroe, Madilynn Young, and Nicholas Jarrett.
Dispatch ran the three through LEADS/ NCIC and is was discovered that Nicholas Jarrett had an active Darke County warrant for failure to appear on DUS bond $885.00. Nicholas was placed under arrest and in handcuffs that were gap checked and double locked. I placed him into the back seat of my cruiser and transported him to the Darke county Jail where he was released to jail staff. The back seat of my cruiser was checked prior too and after transport with nothing located.

Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, James Bush III, he advised that he knew he did not have a valid license. I then spoke with the two passengers in the vehicle, Justin Hamilton and Rebecca Baker.
I advised James that he would be receiving a citation for driving under suspension. Justin gave P.O. Kiryluk his information and Dispatch ran his information through LEADS/NCIC and it was found he had an active arrest warrant through Warren County, Pennsylvania.

On July 10th, 2026 at approximately 1707 hours I was dispatched to Walmart at 1301 Wagner Ave. Greenville, OH on a found property call.
Loss prevention called stating that a lady found a gray and black zip up pouch inside Walmart’s doors. This female subject carried the pouch to the pharmacy and turned it into them. The pharmacy tech stated they opened the pouch and looked inside finding suspected narcotics, then called the Police Department.
On my arrival I spoke to loss prevention who showed me the item. I observed a gray and black zip up pouch, I looked inside the pouch to see if there was any identifying information and located two clear baggies with crystal like substance inside. I secured the evidence and reviewed video with loss prevention.
Video shows on 07-10-2026 at approximately 1657 hours a white male with a bald head and white shirt was walking out of the store when a gray and black zip up pouch falls from his right pocket and onto the ground. While watching video, one of the loss prevention workers, John Mott, were able to identify the subject as Nicholas Hampshire. After reviewing the video I also am confidently able to confirm that the subject in the video is Nicholas Hampshire.
The pouch and both clear baggies were taken as evidence and placed into property. The two clear baggies will be sent to the crime lab for testing. Pending lab results, the report will be sent to grand jury for further felony charges.

On July 10th, 2026 at approximately 10:34 PM, officers from the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to behind the Family Dollar, 300 Martin Street in the city of Greenville reference a suspicious person. Upon my arrival, I observed a subject, later identified as the defendant, Adam Payne, lying on the grass wearing only black shorts and tennis shoes and no shirt. I observed a bicycle as well as several bags of what appeared to be personal items and trash laying on the ground and against the building.
As I walked up to Adam, I observed he appeared to be asleep. I called for Adam several times to try to get him to wake up but he stayed sleeping. Officers had to kick Adam’s shoe and he finally woke up. I asked Adam what his name was but his speech was so extremely slurred I could not understand him. At this time, I observed Adam’s eyes were glassy and blood shot and there was an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. As I was trying to talk to Adam, he kept laying back down in the grass and falling asleep.
Lying next to Adam, I observed a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey which was found to have been previously opened. I also observed numerous pistachio like nuts and shells and small pieces of trash laying on the ground where Adam was laying.
While speaking with Adam he began eating what appeared to be the same nuts. I asked Adam if those nuts were from him which he admitted they were.
Due to the level of intoxication Adam was under, I asked him multiple times if there was anyone that could take care of him which he was unable or unwilling to tell me if there was.
Due to Adam’s level of intoxication and being unable to take care of himself and disposing of the trash onto the property that did not belong to him, I advised Adam to stand up and that he was under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Littering. The Adam was placed in handcuffs which were double locked and gap checked. While Adam was standing, he began to sway and almost fall multiple times. Adam was advised to sit down while we searched his property incident to arrest, Adam was assisted on the ground onto his buttocks. While sitting on the ground, Adam all of a sudden fell on his side and hit his head on the side of the building but did not appear to be injured.
Adam was transported to the jail and incarcerated for his charges and issued his copies of his citations and advised of his court date by P.O. Daugherty.
A CCH was ran on the defendant which showed 3 or more priors for disorderly conduct making this Disorderly Conduct charge a misdemeanor of the 4th degree.
Photos were taken of the trash. Please see photo log.
Due to the amount of property including a bike Adam was in possession of, the listed property was transported to the Hart Avenue garage by P.O. Nibert to be stored for safe keeping.
