Persistent rain on Friday and Saturday forced officials into a constant battle with the weather, resulting in schedule adjustments, lengthy delays, and a patient wait from teams and fans alike. Crews worked tirelessly to keep the racing surface in shape whenever the skies allowed, while competitors remained ready for action despite the uncertainty. The weather may have interrupted the timetable, but it couldn’t dampen the excitement surrounding one of sprint car racing’s crown jewel events.
Macri Makes History in the Kings Royal
When the track was finally ready and the green flag waved for the 43rd Kings Royal, the wait proved worthwhile.
Anthony Macri proved once again why he is the man to beat at Eldora Speedway.
