On July 25, 2026 at approximately 6:10 p.m Darke County Deputies along with Versailles Fire Department, Versailles Rescue, and Careflight were dispatched to the 9700 block of Versailles Southeastern Road Versailles, Ohio 45380 in reference to an injury accident.
Preliminary accident investigations revealed a 2001 while Mercury Mountaineer being operated by Dustin Burk (23) of Troy, Ohio was traveling southeast on Versailles Southeastern Road east of Christian Road. Mr. Burk traveled off the right side of the road and corrected and traveled left of center, over correcting and traveled back off the right side of the way. Striking the ditch causing the vehicle to rollover, coming to rest on its side in a cornfield.
Mr. Burk was transported to Miami Valley Hospital to be treated for his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
