On August 21, 2026 at approximately 3:50 P.M. Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 118 and Children’s Home Bradford Road in reference to a three-vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a light blue 2004 Toyota Sienna, driven by Jessica Sims (18) of Portland Indiana, was traveling east on Children’s Home Bradford Road. Ms. Sims failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a northbound gray 2020 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Amber Stucke (16) of Maria Stein. Ms. Sim’s vehicle then struck a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado that was driven by Brett Sackett (56) of Pitsburg, Ohio who was stopped at the stop sign on Children’s Home Bradford Road.
Ms. Sims and her passenger were transported to Wayne Healthcare for suspected minor injuries. Ms. Stucke and her passengers were treated and released at the scene.
Jessica Sims was issued a citation for failure to yield after a clearly marked stop sign.
