On August 27, 2026 at approximately 3:31 pm, Darke County Deputies along with Gettysburg Rescue, Bradford Rescue and Bradford Fire responded to the intersection of New Harrison Bradford Road and Zerber Road in reference to a two-vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a silver 2016 Honda Accord driven by Grant Knick (42) of Bradford, Ohio was eastbound on New Harrison Bradford Road at Zerber Road. Knick was attempting to turn northbound onto Zerber Road when he traveled into the path of a westbound 1988 black GMC truck, driven by Wyatt Jay (17) of Bradford, Ohio. Both vehicles collided and traveled off the roadway, coming to rest in the ditch.
Jay was treated and released from the scene and his female passenger was transported to Kettering Hospital in Troy with minor injuries. Knick was transported to Wayne HealthCare with non-life-threatening injuries.
