Joyce Y. Pressly, age 91, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at The Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
Joyce was born on August 16, 1935, in Montgomery County, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Lucille (Mann) Denniston.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Don Denniston.
Joyce is survived by her son, Vince (Cheryl) Pressly of Arcanum, Ohio; and her grandsons, Alex (Mikayla) Pressly of Lewisburg, Ohio and Austin (Trisha) Pressly of Fairborn, Ohio; great grandchildren, Kay, Madi and Lily Esteep and Ella and Xander Pressly, and sister-in-law Lori Denniston.
Joyce was a 1953 graduate of Greenville High School. After high school, she attended Miami University. She worked in Cleveland, Ohio and Dallas, Texas before returning to Greenville where she worked in the office of Fram, Treaty Supply and then for 29 years as the head of payroll for the Union City Body Company. Joyce attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Arcanum and was a lifelong supporter of Shriners, Easter Seals and St. Jude. Joyce was an avid golfer and won the Women’s Golf Championship at the Greenville Country Club. Joyce will be remembered for playing Bridge sometimes three days a week with her friends.
A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, with Pastor Dan Kubander officiating. Joyce’s family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Abbottsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Joyce’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
