Katie Jo Dross age 21, of Versailles passed away Friday, November 5, 2021.
Katie was born September 21, 2000, in Greenville to Tana (Ward) & Jerome Francis of Versailles and Alex & Michele Dross of Versailles.
In addition to her parents, Katie is also survived by her siblings, Owen Francis, Keenin Francis, Kasidy Dross and Kennedy Dross; grandparents, Jeff Dross, Tammy Bergman, Les & Deb Ward, Alvin & Renata Simmons, Jerry & Julie Francis, Dennis & Zahada Armstrong and Gene & Marilyn Monnin; great grandparents, Cletus & Wanda Barton and Charles & Faye Michael; and uncles, Drew & Krissy Platfoot, Tyler Ward, Josh & Nicole Ward, Lance Francis, Scott & Hannah Monnin and Craig & Nicole Monnin.
Katie was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Edward Bergman, John & Kathryn Dross and Lester & Marlene Ward; and great aunt, Debra “Bergy” Bergman.
Katie worked at O’Reilly Machine and Tool in Russia and Platfoot Seamless Gutters in Versailles. Katie enjoyed bowling and loved the outdoors, rather it be hunting, fishing or just hanging out with family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery in North Star. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Bailey Zechar Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
