Traffic Stop
Citations #25GC01398 & #25GC01399 – On September 4, 2025, at approximately 9: 52 PM, I observed a silver Hyundai bearing Ohio registration KMF6748 traveling southbound on Sycamore Street without a working plate light and only one working brake light. Upon checking the registration through LEADS/NCIC, I discovered that the vehicle’s registration was expired as of 05/13/2025. I also confirmed that the registered owner’s Ohio driving privileges were under a non-compliance suspension from 03/07/2025 to indefinite. Sunset was at approximately 8:03 PM. I initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle on West Fourth Street near Sycamore Street and made contact with the driver, Marcus Seth Hargrave, who is also the registered owner of the vehicle. Dispatch confirmed that his Ohio license was suspended through LEADS. Dispatch also confirmed that his registration was expired. Due to the suspension, his physical license was seized. Due to the suspension, the expired registration and the multiple vehicle defects, the vehicle was seized by Hurd’ sand towed to their impound lot. The driver was issued a copy of these citations and advised of his court date and time.
Forgery
On September 9, 2025, at approximately 1530 hours I responded to Walgreens, 1000 E. Main Street in the City of Greenville in reference to possible forged prescription. Upon my arrival I spoke to Walgreens Pharmacy manager, Mark Briggs who advised he received a fraudulent prescription that was for Benzonatate, a cough depressant and a syrup of Promethazine-Dextromethorphan ( DXM). Promethazine can be a schedule V controlled substance if it is combined with codeine. DXM can be an abused drug and is not a controlled substance, but high doses can be similar to PCP and ketamine side effects. The name on the prescription was Noah Rider with DOB – 10/12/64 with an address in New Madison, Ohio. The fax number that the prescription came from was 16813100710. Mark advised the dosage for the promethazine-Dextromethorphan was 473 ML which is extremely high for that drug prescription. Mark advised that the normal dosage for this drug that doctors prescribe is usually 120ML. Due to this Mark stated he called the doctor’s office on the prescription but did not use the phone number on fax but the phone number 937-702-4000 they have in their computer system. Mark stated he spoke to Martha Saunders who is an office manager, where she advised Dr. Aamir Malik did not write out a prescription. Mark stated he called other local pharmacies to advise them of the fraudulent prescription. Mark advised he spoke to a Maegan Klosterman from Kroger Pharmacy where she advised they have received one as well. I made contact with Manager Makenna Albers who works at Korger Pharmacy. Makenna advised she received the same fax with the same name and amount for the listed drugs. I obtained copies of both fax prescriptions from both Kroger and Walgreens which were the exact same. I advised Walgreens and Kroger if someone called or came in about the name with the prescription to call the Greenville Police Department. The copies of the ficticious prescriptions will be attached to this report. I checked LEADS with the name and DOB on the prescription and there was no name and DOB that matched. I have nothing further at this time.
Traffic Crash – Hit skip accident
On September 10th, 2025, at approximately 1517 hours I was dispatched to 205 Central Avenue refence a hit skip accident without injury. Upon my arrival I made contact with Breeanna Miller who was the owner of the 2021 Toyota (KOS4946) that was hit. Breeanna advised that while the vehicle was parked legally facing northbound on the side of the road in front of 205 Central Ave, her driver side mirror had been hit by a passing car and that neighbor was the one that notified her of the incident. Breeanna advised that her neighbor had video evidence of the incident. I inspected the area where the listed vehicle was hit and observed no notable damage. Breeanna advised that the back cover of the mirror had been knocked off and that she had reattached the cover before my arrival. I had Breanna test the functionality of the mirror and observed no mechanical damage to the mirror operation. I spoke with the neighbor, Kristina Louk, who showed me a security video of the incident. In the video it appeared that a sliver Ford Focus was traveling northbound on Central Avenue when it came too close to the above listed vehicle causing the collision. From the video footage I was unable to make out a license plate or any identifying features of the Ford Focus. Louk emailed the video footage to me which was sent to GPD Records and to be attached to this report. Upon additional observation of the Red Toyota, I again saw no notable damage or paint transfer that would link a vehicle to the incident. Breeanna advised that she would like a report done and have the driver charged if located. Breeanna was given a report number and advised that she would be notified if anyone came forward to report the incident. At this time no one has come forward and reported the incident to the Greenville Police Department. P. 0. Wolfe checked the area but was unable to locate any other security cameras which may have captured the incident or suspect vehicle. Please see OH-1 for further. Nothing further at this time.
Forgery
On September 12th, 2025, at approximately 0941 hours I was dispatched to Walgreens reference a counterfeit 10 dollar bill. Upon my arrival I made contact with Becky Jenkins who first noticed the 10 dollar bill this morning (09/12/2025). Becky advised that sometime between 09/10/2025 and 09/11/2025, the bill was used to purchase items at the store. She advised that she was unaware of when exactly the bill was passed and did not have any idea of who the individual who passed the counterfeit bill was. The 10 dollar bill was a movie prop bill with clear markings of “Motion Picture Use” on the front and “Movie Prop Use Only” on the back. Jenkins was given a report number and advised to call the Greenville Police Department if she was able to determine the subject from security footage. The bill was taken to the Greenville Police Department and placed into property.
